Having joined the low-cost carrier easyJet late in 2016 as its Chief Commercial Officer, it has been confirmed that Peter Duffy is leaving the airline.
The oversight of all revenue generation, marketing and digital elements: accountability for pricing, revenue management and ancillary revenue will now transfer from the carrier's commercial department to Robert Carey, currently easyJet's Airline Strategy and Network Director.
Part of the company;s restructuring program will see the creation of a new role - Chief Data Officer - and the recruitment process for a suitable candidate has now begun. The CDO will give greater focus and weight to the airline's use of this data to improve the customer proposition, drive revenue, reduce cost and improve operational reliability.
Johan Lundgren took over the role of CEO last year after the departure of Carolyn McCall as well as Communications Director Paul Moore, who both left to join Independent Television (ITV).
