Aigle Azur Names Former L’Avion Chief As CEO

French leisure airline Aigle Azur has appointed Frantz Yvelin as President and CEO, the executive who founded all-business airline L’Avion that was ultimately sold to British Airways (BA).

Yvelin, who is succeeds former Aigle Azur CEO Michael Hamelink, has already taken on his new role. He is a qualified Airbus and Boeing pilot, and is a known figure in French aviation. After starting out as an IT consultant, he created all-business airline L’Avion in 2006.
