Airbus has confirmed the departure of Paul Eremenko at the end of 2017. Marc Fontaine, in his current role as Digital Transformation Officer, will take over as acting Chief Technology Officer. A permanent solution is expected to be announced in the near future.
Eremenko will join United Technologies and become Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer, effective January 1, 2018. Eremenko succeeds J. Michael McQuade, who will retire next year.
Prior to Airbus, Eremenko served as the founding CEO of A^3 by Airbus Group and held leadership roles at Google, Motorola Mobility and DARPA, the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency.
